Growing up in Easton, CT Connor Kelly was a dedicated athlete playing Hockey, Basketball, Football, Tennis, Soccer and others. He believes that his participation in many different youth sports helped him become a better athlete, as well as gain the necessary skills to excel in lacrosse.
After being cut from the Varsity team as a Freshman, Connor’s lacrosse light began to shine during his Sophomore year at Fairfield Prep. He then went on to Avon where he finished his high school career playing football and lacrosse while being a captain on both teams. There he was honored with the prestigious George A. Murray Cup, the best student-athlete in the school, award his senior year.
Connor attributes his tremendous growth as a player, during college, to his mentors and coaching staff from the University of Maryland. Team first culture is what helped him succeed. Not only did the Maryland program help him grow as a player, he also learned essential leadership skills throughout his four years. He said personally, receiving many awards and recognition’s, was second to becoming a team captain his senior year.
His Professional career started in 2018m and still continues today playing in the PLL and NLL. Becoming the 37th ranked player in the world. All of his experience and teachings have led him to become a coach.
